Size of featured products block - gray area after changing

Hi..

 

I've been looking at many diffenrent posts regarding this issue, and also managed to find solved issues, but can't seem to find one that actually works for my page..

 

After changing from 9em in global.css I got rid of some of the "air" on the featured block, but now I have a lot of empty gray at the bottom of the block, and I need to change the size of the block..

 

When inspecting with firebug I can see the size to be 684 px, but I cant find where to change this size of the block itself..

 

I am using prestashop 1.4.8.2

 

Hope somebody can help me - spent many many hours pulling my hair over this! :-)
