valx
Hi, I state to be a rookie with prestashop. My problem is the following: I installed a theme bought from the prestashop website, but when I try to edit some files .css or .php I find problems uploading them with filezilla, because he says "Operation not permitted". And so tell me if I try to change the permissions of the folder to which they belongs. Can someone help me please? THanks, Valerio ps: my version is 1.5.2.
NemoPS
Hi, With your FTP client, select the theme's folder, right click and select "file permissions". This with filezilla, yours might be different. An optimal setting would be 577. Be sure you select "apply to all subfodlers" or something like that.
valx
that's exactly what i do...but that's what i see "Operation not permitted"
NemoPS
You mean you're not allowed to change folder permissions? In that case, your user doesn't have the rights to do it, and you have to ask your hosting
vekia
its all because you probably uploaded theme via back office, right? i think that the better way is to upload it via ftp and then configure it manually
valx
It was a hosting issue, after 30 seconds call they solved it. Thanks for the replies anyway.
