My Account Block Not Registering a New Customer Account

Recommended Posts

I have a PrestaShop v. 1.5x (non-production mode at the moment) setup with SSL certificate. The shop seems to perform in every manner except when I click on My Account Block or the Login button at the top of the page, and fill out the required fields, accept the customer privacy info, and click Register, no errors are returned. However, when I try to log in for the first time, no errors are returned but login is unsuccessful. No emails come to me letting me know that I have an account setup.

Can someone let me know what might be the problem with this module or preventing new accounts to be setup for a customer? Thank you.

I have figured out my own solution after posting my original question a few days ago. So that others may view my solution in case they have similar issues I wanted to post the solution here. The solution was to remove a forced SSL Apache Web Server 301 redirection ReWrite Condition statement in the .htaccess file for the domain. The web hosting company had recommended the forced SSL statement as a workaround to force certain pages of the WordPress domain website (not the storefront site) to display the security icon in the Web browser's address bar. I have installed an HTTPS plugin in WordPress to correct this issue and had failted to remove the ReWrite Condition statement. Removing this statement returned PrestaShop to its normal working condition for account authentication.
