Bodie
I have a problem with "Order Message". When a message is posted and special characters are used they are displayed as HTML code. For example å become å and ö become ö When I search for answers to this problem I can only find old messages saying it was fixed in an update or no answer at all. I am running Prestashop 1.5.3.1. This only happens when a message is posted in an order as an "order message" and it only affect 2 out of 3 locations. It will show the right letters when I view the message in the order, but it will show the wrong code when the message is read in the customer order page and in the customer service message page. When a message is posted through the "contact us" form everything works fine and all emaila is working and have the right characters. When I read a message in Customer Service When a customer read the message in hos own order. When the same message is read in the order and not the customer service. A normal message sent fro contact us form. Edited March 12, 2013 by Bodie (see edit history)

Bodie
Do anyone know if this is an BUG or if we have done something wrong and if we can fix this?
parsifal
Unfortunately, I have the same problem as well with non-latin characters (Greek, to be precise) in messages.
Trip
Look in or post it on the bugtracker. I assume that can be fixed with one line but as I am here testing RC2 it see it doesn't even send a message. Ahh ja.. so go on the bugtracker. Maybe they notice that the whole thing is not working before they role out a new version Edited March 15, 2013 by Trip (see edit history)

damnboy
Anyone has solved this? I'm becoming crazy with this problem. I've tried several things and none has worked, even updating to 1.5.4.1 still has the problem! But in a fresh installation of 1.5.4.1 it works fine ... I don't know what else to do :_

besssbesss
I already have the same problem. Just for me, the special characters display incorrectly on the order page. On the customer service, the messages are correct. In fact, the special characters display incorrectly just when we (the employees) send a message in the order page. When the client send us a message through their order history, the characters are also correctly displayed. Someone could help me with that please ? thankkkks
damnboy
I believe the problem is in the default theme in version 1.5.3.1. If you use this theme as your base, you will have this kind of problems.
besssbesss
I had this problem also on the customer service. I remplaced the history.js file, with the history.js file of the 1.5.4 version of prestashop, it solved the problem. But for the charcters on the order page of messages we send, I don't know what could I do. Maybe there some files of the new version I could use for this problem, but don't know which one .. damnboy
I was changing lots of things like you, but when I tried a fresh install of the 1.5.4.1 theme, almost all went well ... just saying. Now it's your choice, either keep modyfing bugs on your own, or start again the styling ... In addition I must say that all problems that have been told here were solved for me, maybe you have found some other bugs than me and they are not yet solved. besssbesss
I see. I made worked so much on this theme, it will again a lot of work to upgrade the webside. I have to wait a little bit to do that. While, i keep trying to fix the main bugs on the 1.5.3.1 version... Thank you
