Can't open modules page. AdminModules controller is missing

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am facing very strange and annoying problem.

From some reason, I cant open Modules page. I click on Modules in menu an I get error that AdminModules controller is missing or invalid. You can check error on image in attachment.

Controller is, of course, there.

I did not change none of modules, or template. I turned off caching, clear cache, but problems remain. It is frustrating because I am like 5 days toproduction launch.

Please, somebody help me?

I am on PrestaShop 1.5.3.1.

Thank you vekia!

I can see list of items and one of them is "Modules". When I open it, i can see that it reference to AdminParentModules class. I cant find any AdminParentModules class.

thanks for your reply, sorry but i mean "modules" subcategory in main "modules" position, you have to click on:

to open subcategories of main tab, and then edit first modules position:

This is what I see in this submenu:

Hello,

I am getting the same error message. I do not have a "main" modules page, my Modules page is only listed as a subcategory of Administration, and when I get edit it I get the same page as in Kursulla's last screenshot, except it says Administration in the Parent dropdown box, and Modules is not an option.

Hi There,

I've had the same issue after I was messing around with an additional tab in the backoffice.

I created another AdminModules tab, which wasn't working so I deleted it.

Unforuntatly, my normal AdminModules also stopped working, so I freaked out a little.

I found out that the MySQL database still had the other AdminModules tab in its records.

I deleted it and everything was up and running again.

So for those who still have this simmilair problem:

- Login to your MyPHP admin

- Go To ps_tab

- Get the full list of records

- Ctrl + F to search and check if there are more than one "AdminModules" records.

- Delete the wrong one (probably the one with the latest id_tab like 104 or something) and check if the problem is solved.

ALWAYS MAKE A FULL DATABASE BACKUP BEFORE YOU START EDITING IT!

Hope it'll help!
