El Patron
oops...I was a little quick on that... if you wanted the same mysql db, but different shops...regardless of version... you would use a different prefix at installationi, i.e. ps_ for shop1 ps2_ for shop2).etc
eptx
Thank you for your reply! Instead is there a way to copy the data in the 1.4.9.0 into a new database for 1.5.3.1?

Instead is there a way to copy the data in the 1.4.9.0 into a new database for 1.5.3.1? my first knee jerk reaction is no. not that it could not be done by someone with a very deep knowledge of the new/changed/deleted tables structures... why not just upgrade? PascalVG
Back up the database 1.4.9.0 version, install a NEW PS 1.4.9.0. Import in here and upgrade to 1.5.3.1 See if it works. Check any problems with themes, other enhancements you made. If everything ok, backup new database. Backup your current 1.5.3.1 Shop. Make sure backup works! import in your own current 1.5.3.1. (or use this 1.5.3.1 version as your new shop, if you don't have any yet) Finish things like themes etc. Or, If you don't have any current 1.5.3.1 version yet: backup your database and PS current shop files. Make sure backup works! Upgrade your current shop to 1.5.3.1. See if any problems. See if you can solve these quickly. If so, be happy. If not, go back to old 1.4.9.0 version and check first what needs to be done to smoothen next try... Hope this helps Pascal
