Radu Posted March 8, 2013 Share Posted March 8, 2013 Hello Spence, make sure you have apache mysql and php installed using your package manager. Once you have this set up, installing presta is similar with windows. You can use phpmyadmin to create the database. maybe a good idea is to try to search "LAMP set up" for your linux flavour 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jaspenhof Posted March 11, 2013 Author Share Posted March 11, 2013 I only have a laptop and I'm using Ubuntu 12 on it. I haven't downloaded another copy of PS yet. I'm trying to figure out where I put it and how to install it. But I'm very happy with myself..... The installation of the LAMP, SQL and PHP2 went very well - on the first try. This new copy of PS will be for a friend and when I finish building her store, I will upload it onto a webhost. I believe she is using Windows on a laptop. Thanks again for all your help.
