What do you mean by Indian Currency as Default? there are couple of things that you need to check out

01. In Localization have you set your default currency as Indian Rupees?

02. have you used to correct ISO code for your currency?

03. What is your default country that you have in Localization options?

04. Go to Modules > Payments > and see and Shop default currency and Customer Currency has been set to Paypal

05. And down to that there is another area for Country restriction and see whether India is checked

Just check and us know.

This is the error I get and I don't know what could be causing it.

A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report:

PayPal response:

TIMESTAMP -> 2013-04-16T19:46:11Z

L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10002

L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Security error

L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Security header is not valid

L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error

Most of the time when you have the following error

L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Security error

L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Security header is not valid

L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error

It means that your credentials are incorrect or that you are using sandbox credentials with production mode (or production credentials with sandbox mode).

If you are in production, you have to check INACTIVE for SandBox mode (be sure to fill the configuration form with your production credentials and not your sandbox credentials).
