Guest Customer Is Automatically Registered, Anyway To Avoid This ?

With Prestashop 1.4.9 when ordering products as guest, the person is registered automatically.

Next time if customer tries to register , it is not possible since email address is already in the database. This causes confusion, since customer thinks he or she hasn't registered before.

One customer contacted us because of this. We checked for from the statistics -> customer accounts:

 

Visitors who have been blocked at the registration phase: 99 (27.97%)

 

the amount of customers who have been blocked in fairly short time was quite big. There's no explonation why they were blocked, but if the reason is the one I described, this is big problem in the shop in my opinion.

 

Any idea how to block autoregistration or another workaround ?
