Attributes - Values That Change Price (Increase/decrease)

Recommended Posts

Probably a dumb brain trying to figure out Prestashop but, need some help here. The screen shot will give you an idea of my problem. Have two attributes with values that are applicable for a product.

(a) Some values of the first attribute can increase/decrease price.

(B) Some values of the second attribute can also increase/decrease price.

I make a value selection from (a) and the price correctly adds or subtracts the figure that I fed into the setup.

However when the same condition is triggered for the second attribute, the price does not calculate based on the increase/decrease parameter.

In the screen the price was originally 902$, it dropped correctly to 770$ the moment the Metal choice value was selected. Now when the ring size is selected for the shown value, the price should move up by 50$. It should be 770$ + 50$ = 820$. However it does not show that on the screen.

What could I be doing wrong? I have manually created to combinations and not auto generated them.

Thanks for any ideas and suggestions that you can provide.

Hello here is the link to the product. Basically I added the attribute for the metal, then added the next attribute which is the size. The metal does the correct price increase/decrease. The ring size attribute does not.

Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

You did not create the combinations correctly.

Each combination MUST have 1 attribute from EACH group.

If you have 2 groups with 5 attributes in each, you should have 25 combinations.

Try using the combination generator at the top of the combination tab, it will generate them correctly and quickly.

Stage 1 Accomplished, thanks to the suggestions from this forum.

Here is what seems to be tiny bug in the auto generation of combinations. A bit tough to get screen shots as I have already corrected the data manually.

Attribute A - Increases price by 100

Attribute B - Decreases price by 80

When generating the combinations, I put the value for A as +100 and that for B as -80. However when the combinations get formed, I see only 100, the -80 is ignored. It is not practical to enter +20 for A and then leave B as 0, for technical reasons within the combination generation.

Everything works fine except the -80 that we want to inject into the price calculation.

Just thought that it might be a feature that would prove useful for many. In any case, it is possible to manually make the corrections one by one but - seem to be growing lazier as I start using the amazing built in features of Prestashop.

Thanks
