wellnix
I am using the JQuery pisces slider on my prestashop install and it works ok, but there is a problem with the image sizes. The home page loads so slow because the slider script saves the images that I upload at a size of 1.2 mb even though the images I've created are less than 200kb. To summarize, I create a 980x400px image in Photoshop and optimize it for the web usually less than 200kb's in size. I upload the finalized image in my back office in the slider module. But the image is saved to the server at 1.2 mb's. I see this phenomenom when backing up my files. How to I get the JQuery slider to save and use the actual image that I upload. Could those that use this slider check your file sizes after you upload an image and see if it does the same for you. I'm trying to speed up my page load speeds and having 6-8 images at 1.2 mb's each doesn't help at all. Thanks, Lee Below image is 101 KB, but is saved on server at 1.2 MB
