tonycajjo Posted March 1, 2013 Share Posted March 1, 2013 How can i disable quantities for a particular virtual product, or any product without disabling stock management. i want to have stock management for my products but i have a product that is esentially unlimited quantity, weither i have to have it as virtual product or regular. i know i could enter the quantity of the product to a very large number but that seems like the wrong way. prestashop 1.5.3.1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

tonycajjo Posted March 1, 2013 Author Share Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) that's strange, what if all but one of your products was a digital download or just an add on for something that had no limited quanitiy. the virtual product im talking about here is not visable in the store but will be added to a customers order. The main goal is to have the customer send a request for a quote if they are outside the US, i.e. pay by check or something, then when the store owner logs in they can add this virtual product called shipping cost to the order at the right amount, so it's not a typical product. i'm not sure how i can handle this. then they can send an invoive to the customer to pay. the untimate goal: basically i want free shipping to customers in the US, then if the customer is not from the US i want them to be able to place a request for quote on the shipping cost that the shop owner can add in then have a paypal invoice sent to the custer. after paid the shop owner will ship. tonycajjo Posted March 7, 2013 Author Share Posted March 7, 2013 i've resolved to forget adding the product to the order, but just generate a new order based off their old shopping cart at which time i can add a shipper. i am going to make custom shippers for each price range. i.e. shipping cost 5, shipping cost 6, all the way to what ever i need. then when i send the email to customer at the order creation screen they can login and pay Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
