tonycajjo
Hello, i was testing the contact us page and it seemed to work but i got no email. then i went to test the email with the test email in the Advanced Paramateres and though it does not error out and says it sucessfully sent an email i dont get one. i tried smtp server and the mail() function. both report "A test e-mail has been sent to the e-mail address you specified" any ideas? i am using prestashop version 1.5.3.1 also, i was looking for the where the the customer service / webmaster contact titles are editable from to see if i had an error in there causing this. EDIT: see the following thread http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/229096-solving-common-email-issues-in-prestashop/page__p__1129164#entry1129164 Edited March 7, 2013 by tonycajjo (see edit history)
tonycajjo
i found where the customer service / webmaster contacts are in prestashop 1.5.3.1, they are under customer -> contacts. there were no errors there and the test email is still not working, nor is the contact us page form. tonycajjo
can anyone using 1.5.3.1 verify that it even works and is a problem with my server as opposed to the prestashop code?
benjamin utterback
Hi Tony, yes the messaging system works. Have you contacted your host about this issue?
tonycajjo
Using the smtp method I would think the host doesnt matter, plus mail () works on other php pages I have. I will look into my settings cause I just upgraded to php 5.3.13 so maybe I broke something along the way. Thanks for letting me know it works.
