Blockspecials And Search Links

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a pretty serious issue wit a prestashop 1.5.2 site! When I try to search something in the blocksearch or click to the blockspecials "all specials" link takes me nowhere... refreshes the site, displays the homepage (with some errors for example in the slider).

I tried to edit blockespcials.tpl (line 55), i edited the href statement to 'http://winteroutlet.ro/index.php?controller=prices-drop' but still nothing, same thing happens.

My site is: http://winteroutlet.ro

Thank you!

Hi Imokweb,

Have you edited the prices-drop URL in the SEO part of adminpanel?

If you have, try renaming it back to the default value, and see if that helps.

When you search, you are right that the result-page produces a lot of errors.

I think that either some .js files are missing or conflicting.

Try turning on errors in your config/defines.inc.php file and see if that helps you.

Thanks for the fast reply!

No, i did not edit anything in the SEO part.

With the search I don't understand what could be conflicting, because everything is basic Prestashop install. I had 2 facebook modules imported, one of which is now also broken, so I disabled it. And I have a smarty cache cleaner module, that I also disabled now. Still nothing. As you probably noticed, I created a new template design from the default 1.5 template. Just to make sure, I enabled the default one, but the same issues still occurred.

I didn't understand how should I enable error reporting in the defines.inc.php file, so enabled it in the config.inc.php, but nothing is shown... Is there another way through defines.inc.php? I searched google, but didn't find much...

Thanks for your help!

So I edited defines.inc.php file, and inserted this code:

@ini_set('display_errors', 'on');

define('_PS_DEBUG_SQL_', true);

/* Compatibility warning */

define('_PS_DISPLAY_COMPATIBILITY_WARNING_', true);

It didn't do much, but I have this other issue that I'm wrestling with, so I thought I test that also. The cache, if enabled shows a blank page. By refreshing the page, it displays the correct content, but it does this with every single page... i have tried putting the cache to a 777 permission, but the problem persisted. Now with errors on, it gave the following error:

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/hongam47/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php on line 281

there was: $_template->properties['unifunc']($_template);

I tried to delete it, but now the menu disappeared from some pages.

Other than this, no error was shown.
