Maury Markowitz
Many products come in different packaging sizes and it's common to have a small field that says something like "10 cents per gram" for food or "$2.50 per meter" for cloth. In my case our products are often something like "79 cents per watt". I am thinking that I could add a Feature for the number of units, and another for the "unit of measure". Or is there a better place? But now how would I calculate the value in the template where I want to display it? Is there any possibility of avoiding PHP and doing this in smarty alone? olea
The unit price and "unit of measure" is a native feature since prestashop 1.4. In back-office, in the product page, you have both fields to set them. When you use specific prices, this unit price is automatically adapted
Maury Markowitz
I'm sorry, but I cannot find this. I first looked in Features, but there was nothing here. I can't see it anywhere else? I do not have "advanced stock management" turned on, is it part of that system?
olea
In both 1.4 and 1.5, you can find these 2 fields just near the prices fileds in the product page in back office
Maury Markowitz
Oh yes, I see it now! Unfortunately it does not appear anywhere in the front office?
ricky11
Hi, did you figure it out? UOM needs to be part of the combinations, because if a product has an attribute, some of the attributes could be in doz, sets, pack of 10, pack of 4 etc. How is this handled on a combination level?
