[Solved] Problem with permissions - Can anyone help?

Hi, I've installed prestashop and I'm having a few issues with the file permissions. I've followed the installation guide regarding which files/directories to chmod 777. However when I try to use certain functions, modules, etc. I'm getting the following message;

"A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again."

Now I've checked, double checked and tripple checked... the permission settings but still no joy. Can anyone suggest anything else which might be causing this message to display.

With much tinkering, I seem to have solved the problem. All I had to do was change the permissions on the modules folder and sub-folders to chmod 755 instead of 777.

Hope this helps anyone with similar issues in the future!
