Juandbbam
Hello,I have just finished an online shop with Prestashop and I'm very happy with the results. But now another client wants an on-line shop where the products will be downloaded but what they are actually buying is a serial key (like an anti virus).I have searched the forum and I don't know if I should use Prestashop for this or not....Any suggestions? Can I make this with prestashop?Thank you in advance.
spott
Right now with default PrestaShop - no. One way (only small idea right now) is to set up these products as usual products (with some quantity) and add also Supplier for these products. Then You set up supplier notification and You sending this notification e-mail to some other software, what then sends generated KEY to costumer.Or is possible to make some module or modify the code. Juandbbam
The only idea is that I will do it with Zencart. That's a pity as I like Prestashop much more....

tomerg3
If you like Prestashop, then this issue (much like any other) can be overcome All you need a creative coder and money, or just the time to do it yourself.
shaiss
Tom, I agree with you. But being that PrestaShop is OS and benefits from the community feedback, its beneficial that the devs see whats important to us as their users. The fact that we're using a free OS cart means that we don't have money
tomerg3
That is both impossible and not true.Impossible to be able to implement everything that is "important", unless you do a poll for all possible features (which I assume would run in the hundreds or thousands) you can't tell what is important. Not true because many people who have money choose to go with an OS cart because there is no reason to re-invent the wheel, but you will most likely need to spend money (or your own programming time) to customize it to your needs...
