Problem With Combinations Drop Down

I have a products with the following combinations:

 

Red

Black

Blue

 

and then

 

7,000 Stitches

8,000 Stitches

9,000 Stitches

10,000 Stitches

 

When you first view the product with default is Red/7,000 Stitches. Then when you select any alternative both drop downs default to Blue/10,000 stitches. Then form that point any selection you make jumps to the last combination.

 

Any suggestions.
