[Solved] Where do I place html codes for my LiveChat Icon to appear?

Recommended Posts

Hi, guys. I currently have a 'BLOCK HTML' Module on my website (link in my signature) which is where I placed the HTML code for LiveChat Icon. Though its wonderful, I don't particularly like the grey line below the icon.

I placed a 'AddThis' button in the header of my website so I know it's in some .tpl file.

But where exactly?

Thanks in advance.

NB. I would like to know how to get it in the same positions (top and bottom) as they are now.

Cheers. xx

Sorry :)

These were my steps:

WEBSITE FOLDERS > PRESTASHOP LOCATION > MODULES > BLOCK (---whichever Block you want it above or under, mine was above my TAGS so I chose BLOCKTAGS > blocktags.tpl > and place it above the codes already there. and Tadaaaa! lol

I'm really proud of myself, a month ago I have no clue what HTML even was!

Since the "Send to Friend" is not working very well (it doesn't allow the input of the person's email who is sending), I was thinking of replacing the "Send to Friend" module entirely with AddThis buttons. However, I have no idea how that can be done. Any advice ?

Hi, it works in the same way. As you can see on my site; I have mine in the footer and above my wishlist.

As explained above, think where you want the 'Add This' to appear.

Say for instance you wanted it above your 'Cart Block':

1. Go to 'Add This' Website >
2. Generate HTML code >
3. Go back to your website files >
4. Choose your Prestashop location >
5. Go Modules folder >
6. Choose 'whichever Block you want it above or under >
7. Open the Block's .tpl file > Back up just in case (i.e copy and paste in Notepad)
8. Add the 'Add This' HTML code (Above or below the codes already in the folder)
9. Save it
10. Refresh you website and see where it is :D

Note that if you change the position of the block where the Add This code will be located, the 'Add This will consequently be moved as well.

If you no longer want the code there just delete it from the previous folder and put it in another .tpl file where you want it.

Hope that's not too confusing..

Let me know how you get on.
