Recaptcha For Prestashop 1.5?

Recommended Posts

Hello Charlie123,

I haven't see anything free and working past 1.48 myself. If you're familiar with working with PHP code, you can find the instructions for setting it up here: Install Recaptcha using PHP. You can implement directly yourself- or through some developers. I also did some searching and no one that I've seen has a posted working solution past 1.5 for Prestashop (that I can find as yet).

Regards,

Arnel

Thanks Elpatron! :D Do you have a suggestion for securing the response entries on a PrestaShop site? Or a better solution than ReCaptcha? I'm always looking for more information on issues like this - and you're definitely an expert!

Your comments and help are always appreciated.

Hello,

Hehehehehe Elpatron, that's right! People hate non viewable characters they need to type back...

With minimal development effort, Qaptcha is easy to add to the form, disrespectful of which Prestashop version you use.

Here it is: http://www.myjqueryplugins.com/jquery-plugin/qaptcha

That would unlock the submit button in an iPhone way, it's smooth and quite efficient. Last but not least, it's a simple JQuery plugin for which Prestashop, as we know, will have no problem to run with.

Hi Elpatron,

Interesting read! It's really interesting for me because I work for a hosting company, so the more options I can offer to our customers(and anyone using our documentation for information on Prestashop) the better. Not all of them will be interested in using the ad-based ones, but I'm sure that being able to say "here's another way to secure your forms" can be nothing more than a positive. Thanks again for the reply and information!

yes. elpatron is 100% correct.

Recaptcha Code is hassle to customers.

I think best way to verify customers email address. then we can wipe out more then 75% fake accounts.

i'm using this module to my shop.

http://addons.prestashop.com/en/checkout/5124-extended-registration.html

then i can wipe out most fake accounts because fake account makers need to create real email address.

honestly, having to check email and click a link to activate an account is as bad if not worse...

look for a module or hack that presents at registration time, a simple query, for example,

3+1 = ?
