benjamin utterback
Thank you for the reply. Everyday we are working hard to improve PrestaShop and its features . Are there any specific problems or bugs that you can relay to us to fix in the next version?
manc00
hello, thank you for the reply. But I am worried about this issue , what does it mean if you stay on old version? surely new versions are supposed to fix - security, performance, enhancement.... or is this fixed somewhere else by the Prestashop Thank you
benjamin utterback
manc00, you can definitely perform the upgrade process. I first suggest you do not upgrade a live site right away, you can copy your database and files and make a duplicate test store on another subdomain. Then you can upgrade to 1.4.9 first. This way you can be sure of any errors or issues before you upgrade the live site. This will minimize the downtime. Have you installed the autoupgrade module on your computer? manc00
thank you all for the reply. Benjamin, As the site I am building is new I think I will buy a template on a latest version instead of building one myself. it will take me too much time to learn about it. thank you again
benjamin utterback
Hi manc00, that is a good idea. If it is a new store then there is no need to upgrade. I will go ahead and mark this as SOLVED. Thank you for choosing PrestaShop!
