Michael LeBlanc
Hello, folks. I am very new here, so please bear with me. I want to create a price rule to apply to a category of products. All products in the category have a price of $3 each. I have created the rule to kick in with quantity 11 (eleven), reduction type "amount", and reduction $0.50 - and I added my category selection in condition group 1. I expect for an order of 10 items in the category, a total of $30; for an order of 11, a total of $27.50. However, in a test order of 11, I see a total of $33. Am I misunderstanding how these rules are applied? Oh, one other detail. In my category, I don't have any products, only sub-categories which do contain products. Thanks. benjamin utterback
Hi Michael, could you post a screenshot of your settings in vouchers and cart rules? It may be because PrestaShop is looking for products in that category, not subcategory.
Michael LeBlanc
Benjamin, I have no items in cart rules, only category rules. I have attached an image of the rule in question. rule.tiff
benjamin utterback
Hi Michael, remove the optional field "Price" and let me know if that works.
Michael LeBlanc
Hmmm. When I try to clear that field, it gives me an error "The field price is required".
Michael LeBlanc
I deleted that rule and re-added it, leaving price grayed out, setting reduction to $0.50. This worked (?) but it reduced the unit price to $2.52, not $2.50.
Michael LeBlanc
Oops! I forgot to add the condition. After I added it, it stopped applying the discount, even though it was wrong.
benjamin utterback
Hi Michael, sorry I'm a little confused. It is not calculating correctly?
Michael LeBlanc
In my first attempt, it said $3.00 - $0.50 = $2.52. After adding back the condition, it doesn't do anything and leaves it as $3.
