vgs_guy
I recently installed Prestashop on to the web server as a test, and it worked fine. Now I want to move it to another domain but it will not work!My server includes both domains in separate folders, so I have one domain under instickers.se, and one under inscriptus.se. I beleived that all I would need to do is literally copy all the files from one to another, so that both domains were running the same webstore. Then I would edit the old one to new settings...to create two separate stores. However, the store works fine, but it comes up with "your server and your browser have different paths" on the admin, as well as a CGI error when attempting to upload images (when I am able to get passed to login to admin).Has anyone got any ideas why the exact same scripts would work on one but not the other? Mogul
I did a similar thing when I was testing prestashop. I installed it to my server via IP address because the nameservers had not updated to transfer my domain name to the new server and the same thing happened. The only solution I could find was to delete and install it fresh on the domain name.I found this odd because they were technically the same location, just referred to differently. But like I say, the only solution was to delete and install fresh. As long as your database is backed up, you shouldn't lose any data. vgs_guy
Hey mogul, thanks for the reply.I actually tried doing a fresh install, but the installation procedure would not go through properly. It would get to stage two and say that GD Library was not activated, which of course I know it was because it worked on the other site. I actually attempted to work around it by deleting the line from the install/index.php which asked to require GD library, but it just stated that the next thing on the list was inactive.Still no idea.... Psychodays
maybe your new server doesn't have GD configured. Create a php file with this line of cod ein it : phpinfo();browse the page you'll see if GD is enabled or not. In case not, contact your admin on how to enable it.Concerning the domain name, see if it can be configured in the config.php file.
vgs_guy
The sites are on the same server - when you view the root list of folders, the instickers one is directly beneath the inscriptus one. I copied all folders from the instickers folder (onto my desktop) then uploaded them to the inscriptus folder. They work in instickers, but not inscriptus...Where can I force an override of the $server and http_root? As I said, the problem is with the administration side; it will not allow anything to be uploaded, and comes up with the message "CGI error incomplete set of http headers returned" (or something like that...?)
