Hi

I've finally taken the plunge and upgraded from 5.2 to 5.3.1 I've got most things working as expected except the mobile theme.

When I enable it and view the theme on a mobile there's no styling applied and the theme appears just as a list of categories, when I click on these and go to the category, the product lists and product pages appear broken.

My question is, has anyone got the mobile theme working on 1.5.3.1 and if so how did you do it? Could you give me a link to look at your mobile site.

I can't find any difference between 1.5.2 and 1.5.3 mobile themes files, so I'm wondering if this may be the problem, but I'm a bit lost and any help or info would be appreciated.

Nigel

I didn't find any free mobile theme for 1.5.3. Mobile theme module developed by prestashop is only compatibile with v1.4 as seen on link, am I wrong? Is there a prestashop developed mobile theme that could be used with 1.5?

In the default template 1.5 is already a free version but it is not quite ready ...

There is a mobile theme in the default 1.5 theme and I had it working ok on 1.5.2 but since i upgraded to 1.5.3.1 it's no longer working. I'm playing with the different jquery versions as I sort of remember having to do something to 1.5.2 to get it to work, but I stupidly thought it might have been fixed in 1.5.3 I'm learning every day not to expect to much from prestashop updates lol

You've got what versions are?

themes\default\mobile\css\jquery.mobile-1.1.1.min.css

or

themes\default\mobile\css\jquery.mobile-1.2.0.min.css

you have not switched and does not work at all? or not correctly looking mobile theme?

The theme is not switchable, is default build. When user visit your shop by mobile devices it will show the mobile theme.

Our problem here is the theme doesn't have any styling.

I can see now that all is well

i manually loaded into the heder.tpl of mobile theme all the javascript i found in the themes/default/mobile/ folder

i think this function in header.tpl does not works:

{if isset($js_files)}

{foreach from=$js_files item=js_uri}

<script type="text/javascript" src="{$js_uri}"></script>

{/foreach}

{/if}

still have some problem, if you enter into the "sedie" category you will see "non ci sono prodotti" ("there are no products")

but ther are a lot of sub categories tht's aren't shown.

In PrestaShop 1.5 the mobile theme is already present into the default theme, so the only thing you have to do is to uninstall the mobile theme's module. Then you could enable the mobile theme into the theme options.

So if you have a custom desktop theme, can you use the default mobile theme?

If not, how can i install a mobile theme for my prestashop 1.5.3.1 ?
