Mugatu
Hi, I've been setting up my first store and have been trying to set up attributes so I can limit the amount of clicks, searching my customer base will need to make. I've read all the documentation and tried most things but can't seem to get what I need. It's all based on size and weight. 90% of our manufactured products are: Size: 5L, 25L, 200L this roughly equates to 5Kg, 25Kg, 200L. So I want to apply attributes two product XYZ and drop down will have eg. 5L = $25, 25L = $80 200L = $450 The size and weight impact I have sorted. But impact on price is actually a fixed one. So it will be time consuming to work out % increase on the default 5L when the 3 sizes are fixed. Can I just enter a price, it seems to have price impact $0.00 or % increase. The product range will be different pricing, xyz will have 3 different sizes and prices, ABC will have the same. They will have the attribute of 3 different sizes and weight though. Mugatu
Probably too much info. Simply do I set up the products as individual products Product xyz 5L = $25.00 (weighs 5kg) Same Product xyz 25L (weighs 25kg) $80.00 Or does attribute work in this scenario. Most I have read is about changing colour, shoe size etc which really doesn't have much impact on weight, sell price. I also want a specific price, not increase default by %. My size combinations are: 5L 25L 200L 5L = 5Kg 25L = 25Kg 200L = 200Kg Prices will then vary by product. Dimensions will be the same Edited February 7, 2013 by Mugatu (see edit history)
tomerg3
Attribute have a price impact of amount, not % You will need to create combinations for each product you want to use, and specify the price impact for each combination.

tomerg3
Since combinations need to have 1 attribute from each group in a combination, the have to be entered per product. Most of our attribute modules http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/9-attribute-modules have an option to copy ALL the combinations from one product to another (or to all the products in a category), which may help speed you up (keep in mind, it copies ALL the combinations and deletes any existing ones the "target" product has.)
