Cannot find php.ini

I'm a noob, but I cannot find it in my FTP or file manager. I'm trying to install and it says PDO mysql isnt loaded

You won't find it in your FTP files. Are you in Linux or a windows machine? If you have cpanel there is a menu about php. If you are in your own server try /etc/php5

you haven't got rights to edit this file probably. If you've got control panel like Cpanel or directadmin you can try to find php.ini editor there, but as i said you probably can't edit it. If so, the only way is Benjamin suggestion

Create a file "test.php" in this file place the code

phpinfo();

?>

 

The command phpinfo(); will dump all the variables of your environment. This will give you the path to the file

 

Loaded Configuration File /var/www/vhosts/www.somesitename.com/etc/php.ini
