Help a newbie!

Hello everyone, I'm starting with Prestashop and I have some doubts regarding the platform, I did some research on the forum but the answers were not conclusive, I'm grateful if anyone can help me with the questions below:

 

 

-Has anyone used PAYPAL Express? Can you tell me how it works and how to make it work with my website? It is more advantageous?

 

I'll sell products on demand, I have no stock, so I'm putting on record that the product is available even without stock, I'm doing the right thing or have another way to do this?

 

-How do I change the text MANUFACTURERS dropdown menu of the home page for PUBLISHERS, what is the way?

 

I want to buy a template from Template Monster - more specifically this: http://www.templatemonster.com/prestashop-themes/37364.html

But I am in doubt if the current modules like banner on the home and especially the PAGSEGURO continue to work, someone can tell me?

How much will you take to manufacture that product? If its in days then you need to mention clearly about the time of manufacturing as customers feel annoyed if there is delay in delivery of product and surely he may not refer anyone else to purchase from your site.

 

Banner Modules are supose to work with new themes. I sugest you to email Template monster and confirms the compatibility of the themes if the information along with the theme is not enough for you.

Hello alastairbrian, I'm talking about ondemand book so I will need 3 days to manufacture it. About Modules, I've talked with template monster but the answer they gave to me are no satisfactory, they said that maybe the modules will work right!?!?!

Can you help me on the other questions?

My store website is www.book7.com.br (still on development)

 

-I'll sell books on demand, I have no stock, so I'm setting in each product stock=0 and that we can sell even without available stock, I'm doing the right thing or we have another way to do this?

-I'm still using 1.4.4.1 Prestashop Version, this template works only on version 1.4.4.9, If I update my Prestashop version all the products, all the modules and your settings will be lost?

My developer recommends to use a testing server to see weather updating will effect the modules or not. I am talking about the updating of from 1.4.4.1 to 1.4.4.9. Because compatibility varies from module to modules. May some will work and may be all of them will work.

 

And if that test is sucessfull and your modules are working in 1.4.4.9 than feel free to update that template. As changing template will not effect the functionality but yes you might have to reconfigure the size of modules like banner module according to the new template. And if you do not wish to change the size of module than surely you will have to customize that template.

 

There is an other way and that is writing "On Demand" in front of stock. Stock: On Demand

If you write stock: 0 than some where in product page you should mention the fact that products are manufactured on demand. Or something like that.
