Anton
Hi thereI installed the files as was indicated to the remote server. Did all the file permissions. Step 1 went fine with no problems. Step 2 is all green. At step 3 it says the server is connected, and I can send an email. The first time I pressed next it gave me an error namely that the file in /config/settings.inc.php should have write permissions or I should create a file in that location named settings.inc.php. I cheched and did not have such a file. Why would this be? I then created a blank file with that name and uploaded it to the server. After I gave it the required permissions. When I now press next, nothing happens. It would appear that everything is correct, except I cannot move on to the next step. Driving me nuts!!!!Maybe someone out there can help. Did check previous posts, but all similiar posts either had no answers or the person figured it out himself without telling us how he did it.I can provide all the detail and passwords if someone can help by logging in.RegardsAnton
fe1lho
Did you made the changes on the directory config ?The file named settings.inc.php is created by the Apache user, and the owner of the config directory is root. So you should have write permissions onto this directory.I've installed yesterday the 1.2Beta3 and the installation was correct. Just one notfication on the PHP settings.I can try to help you if you need...
