Template as to do with the skin or design of the site. The theme has to do with the positioning of blocks or modules in Prestashop. The default 1.5.3.1 theme is different from earlier versions of Prestashop. On your development server, you should update your 1.5.2 theme to be compatible with Prestashop v1.5.3.1
