PhiLho Posted February 2, 2013 Share Posted February 2, 2013 The PrestaShop is an e-commerce software, that can be used to create an online shop to sell stuff (or just to show it). If I refer to your subject (perhaps you missed a word in the body), the WebServices are useful only for programmers, to allow to manage the shop from an external application, be it another Web application, an Android or iOS native application, a desktop application or whatever. It is a facility because manipulating the database directly is difficult, can be prone to errors, can change with versions of PS, and can even be impossible with some hosts (allowing DB access only from their servers, for security reasons they say).
