luchiniii
My question is about the combinations, how many combinations can handle prestashop 1.5. and what do you recommend to do when problems with combinations appears?
benjamin utterback
The amount of combinations that PrestaShop can handle depends greatly on what kind of server is hosting it, memory, execution time etc. If you are on a shared server you are more likely to encounter problems when uploading or generating thousands of combinations. guest*
To have many of combinations working/Importing you need to have a memory_limit of 512M (or at least 128M, but sometimes working with problems) and max_execution_time and max_input_time of 300 for both. toninovak66
I'm going to suggest that you break down and buy the attribute wizard pro module before you start to avoid at all costs running into this issue. I just did after importing 2,400 products all with combinations. Now the site crashed, I've tried everything to get it back up but nothing is working. We just purchased the module, but we have to start all over and do each product individually due to the way attributes are handled by AWP. So, months of work and time are basically a waste. I'm trying to figure out how to get the import fast module modified to be able to just re-import all the products but with the correct DB mapping so that it uses AWP instead of the default combinations generator. If anyone has been able to accomplish this I would really appreciate a heads up.
