HELP - SEO and URLS

Under Preferences - SEO and URLS there is the option to add a new page for SEO...

 

We need to add SEO for our Home Page but when we click 'Add New' there are only a select number of options under 'Page'. How do we add a new page called 'Home.php' ?

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

for you home page, edit the existing index.php, this is your home page

Getting the error message: 'Url rewrite field must be filled at least in default or english language' when I type in the home page url - why would this be?

good question, assuming the selected page at the top is index.php then having the rewirtten url set to blank should be fine, note my ps is 1.4.6.2, I don't have a production 1.5 so I can verify for 1.5 as mine are on localhost without mod-rewrite.

I have left the rewritten URL blank, and the update was successful.
