Bill Dalton
darkleather, are you changing the actual price or are you creating a Specific price rule. If you are just changing the price that won't do it, you need to create price rule. Click on Price then click on Add A Specific Price, and add a discount. Let me know if that does it for you.

Bill Dalton
Please list the steps you are doing to create a Specific Price and what is the result.
nandosan
Don't know if this is still of interest for someone but: prestashop consider a "Price drop" only products with specific price wich has a reduction (either fixed reduction or in %). If you establish a specifix price, but modifing the base price (not applying a discount to the base) it doesn0t dected the price drop.
mKoziak
Hi, if someone still have this problem, the reason may be in putting required quantity to more than 1.As I have noticed, it only works for required quantity set to 1, which is quite inadequate in my opinion. There is one workaround in override SpecificPrice class (classes/SpecificPrice.php). You have to override: public static function getProductIdByDate it is approximately in 351 line. create file: SpecificPrice.php in: override/controllers/front/ to override SpecificPriceCore class write: class SpecificPrice extends SpecificPriceCore then paste there this function: public static function getProductIdByDate and change line: `from_quantity` = 1 AND to e.g. `from_quantity` >= 1 AND The only think is that You have to take care of displaying this information on the product list, and product page. Probably the best solution is to use a module taht will hook to: displayProductPriceBlock - this should allow display this information in any view.
