heldesign
Hello I just installed Prestashop, and everything went ok, but when trying to sign in to the administration panel / back office, nothing happens! I type in my e-mail and my password, I even tried to get a new password as well, but still the same. The page starts loading, but instead of taking me to the admin panel, it just cleans out the sign-in form, and I´m back at scratch. Can anyone please help me? Sincerely, Hege
benjamin utterback
Hello heldesign, what version did you install? How did you install it (simple script, manual through ftp?) EDIT: Moving this post to "Installing PrestaShop" forum section.
heldesign
Hello Benjamin I installed Prestashop 1.5.3.1, and uploaded it manually through an ftp-client. Something went wrong though, so I had to do it a second time, and then I had to change the prefix from ps_ to ps_2, but everything went fine after that. Do you think it´s because I reinstalled it? benjamin utterback
Hi Hege, sometimes when uploading and transferring through FTP, files can be lost or corrupted during the process. You are smart to reinstall it. Enjoy PrestaShop and keep active on the Forum! We love new active members. I can mark this thread as SOLVED now, thank you!

benjamin utterback
Hi, oops, sorry I misunderstood. Do you have a url? Also, have you tried logging in using different browsers? Cleared cache and cookies? These are some things to start to try first.
heldesign
That´s ok, it was my bad The url to the shop is http://shop.heldesign.com/prestashop. I just tried it in Internet Explorer, and it actually worked But I never use that, I normally use Firefox, and I really want to be able to use that browser in the future. I haven´t cleared cache and cookies, must admit I don´t know how to
benjamin utterback
No problem, by pressing Ctrl + F5 it will force a cache refresh on your browser. Try that out and keep us posted, thanks!
heldesign
Thanks for teaching me how to do that But unfortunately it didn´t help, I still can´t sign in while using Firefox I guess I´ll have to use Explorer for now, and hopefully I´ll figure out how to fix the problem in Firefox eventually. Thank you so much for all your help!!
heldesign
Hello again, Benjamin Just wanted to let you know that you can mark this post as solved. I downloaded Google Chrome and haven´t had troubles signing in since then, so the problem apparently was with Firefox. Thanks for all your help!
