ronin74 Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 Hello, I am attempting to finish the setup of a shop with PS 1.5.0.17 and this template http://www.templatem...emes/41145.html I am using this version because the template claims to be compatible "only" up to this version. Under some conditions, after adding products to cart, the checkout button of the cart block instead of bring me to the checkout process, it empties the cart. It doesn't happen always, which is more frustating even, but I think I could isolate one scenario in which it happens always. I opened the back office carts list, and detected that when a registered user, initiates a session and the starts adding products to cart (in this order, not adding products to cart and loging after that), the cart appears repeated in the listing of the back office. Please see attached capture. When the cart id appears duplicated (in some cases it appears 2 or 3 times for the same cart), the checkout button will cause the empty cart. Could this be the problem and that makes that on ckeckout, those "ghost carts" make the process to fail by empting the shop? I have made lot of testing and looking for "empty cart" solutions in the forum, but none of the cases seems to be linked with my issue. Where could I look for in the code? I am getting really worried about this subject. I had worked with PHP before, but this is my first project with PS. All testing was made by first clearing cookies and cache from Firefox and Chrome in their more recent versions. Also you can turn on "Cart re-display at login" (allows after customer logs in, recall and display contents of his/her last shopping cart) here BO->Preferences->Customers. ronin74 Posted January 28, 2013 Author Share Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) Hello, About the upgrade to 1.5.3.1, the template seems no to work with versions over 1.5.0.17 according to the template info available. After purchase, I attempt to apply it in a 1.5.2 setup (the current version in that date) and it did not worked well. The product details page and the ajax funcionality of the cart was broken, that is why I keep in 1.5.0.17 I called Template Monster support and they told me use the version described in the template documentation. I can give a try to install it now in a 1.5.3.1, but with all the delay I am getting. Anyway, I am going to test your sugestion about "Cart re-display at login" in order to see if it has some impact in the issue. Thanks for your help!
