adamcarter
Hi guys, This is my first post. I am creating a new website to go along with an already existing website; to be the web store. Can you help me? When I make a change, for instance a category name change, I do not see the changes on my website. How can I sort this problem? Thank you, Adam
tdr170
While creating your store set Force compile to on and Cache to off under Preferences, Performance.
adamcarter
Hi, I've done what you said, but there's no change. I'm really not sure what I am doing wrong. Thank you for the help by the way.
tdr170
Try refreshing the page ctrl+f5 or just f5 and see if that helps. You may need to empty your smarty cache and compile folders. ..cache/smarty/cache and compile use your FTP program to browse here delete all files in these two folder except any index.php files. adamcarter
I've tried that, thank you. However, no change. Any other ideas?
adamcarter
Really getting stressed now. I've tried everything and nothing seems to be working. Can anyone else help me, please? Thank you, Ad
tdr170
Give me a link to your site and tell me what the category name was and what you renamed it to. Also did you try clearing your browsers cache, this almost has to be a cache issue. Stupid question but after you changed the category name did you click save. adamcarter
Yeah, clicked save. I just reinstalled PrestaShop and starting from scratch. Thank God I hadn't created the whole site. I apologise for the lack of knowledge with PrestaShop; like I say, I am an amateur with this and I thank anyone who can help me get off the ground. Can you email me privately as I don't want to clog up the forum with my troubles. Thank you, Ad
