Paypal module updates it's own default images

Has anyone had this issue?

I have edited some of the gif images in the Paypal module to better suit my site.

But after a few days, the edited images keep reverting back to the default images that came with the module. Example: US_vertical_solution_PPeCheck.gif as displayed below.

I changed that image to my own with only Visa, Discover, and Mastercard logos. The original image is attached along with my edited gif. But it keeps changing back to the default after a few days. Is this a cache issue or does the actual paypal module have script code that updates it's images on a set schedule?

Thanks

I'm having the same issue as Wellnix and would love if someone with more knowledge could answer. I changed the payment image/button so it actually resembles a button. My server thinks someone is hacking in to my site thru a security hole in the module and marking the site for future attacks!
