Return to previous product page after product edit and save

I have a shop that will probably have over 1000 products when finished.

 

My question is this. Is there a way to return to previous page or view after you add or edit a product and then hit SAVE. It always returns back to page 1 of the products and you have to continually click on the page you were previously on.

Hello wellnix, what version of PrestaShop are you using, in 1.5 there is a Save and Stay function that will work.

I got problem with "save and stay" button when adding new product.

 

When I push "save and stay" button. I won't stay on that page... Why not?

 

Sometimes I can't even see "save and stay" button.

I know how to use the Save and Stay icon, I'm saying after you add or edit product and hit "Save", it takes you back to Page 1 of the products and not the previous page that you were on. Say you edited product #678 which would be on page 3 if you selected 300 per page option. After you edit #678 product and click Save, you're taken all the way back to page 1 of the first 300 products.

 

My suggestion is to have the code take you back to the previous product page after you click the main "Save"

Officially needs some modifying of code, but quick and dirty way, just push back button twice in your browser...

 

After a few additions, press refresh to update list.

I modified a little the code to open the products in a new tab, only the products, the remaining categories work by default. This way you won't lose the current page.

Maybe it's not a real solution but it's definitely better than the defaults.

 

If somebody need this "solution" I can put here the code modified.
