antinow
HI, I am seeking for help, as i have spent 2 days to struggle with the product image upload through .CSV file, i have tried to add both path in the field "Image URLs (x,y,z...)" in the csv file, 1. full path (http:/www.xxx.com/upload/image1.jpg) 2. relative path (../upload/image1.jpg) every other information , just like name, price, can upload with no problems, but just the image cannot show both in the back office and front end website, and there are no warning to my .CSV file i am using 1.4.6.2 version, and i have checked the folder permission of the upload folder. what is my mistake? can anyone help? Thanks!
shelly-g
Maybe the problem is with your .csv file. Here is an article on .csv file preparation before data import. If the data in your file is wrong, your import will fail. So check it out. I hope it will help you somehow Edited January 22, 2013 by shelly-g (see edit history)
TheMissingNTLDR
Is your upload folder located at correct level? i.e. same level as "admin" (e.g. next to "admin" folder) ? because you are using ../upload/image1.jpg this sounds correct. antinow
thanks reply, i have download the PS sample .csv to check, it is sure i don't have any typing mistake, and also both absolute path and relative path of the image I have also tested, but just none of the image can be uploaded. I found no way to fix it right now..
tdubs
If you can't get it working. Try using eMagicone's Store Manager for Prestashop. I downloaded the 30 day demo and it's helped me upload images and data for 1500+ products. You setup a database connection and an FTP connection, and then import the CSV file you've created, map the columns to the correct columns in the database, and voila, you have a site full of products. Pretty incredible and can save you plenty of time.
ihkwyh
Quick question before I give a true response. Do the images you are intending to use exist in the upload folder already? Have you tried creating your own folder, placing your images in it, and then pointing to that folder in the csv. ?
