Radio buttons , text input boxes etc - how to create ?

Hello,
First I would like to sat well done to Presta developers on this shopping cart, c'est tres bien.

But I have a problem :-
Why cant I create any radio buttons (for example - yes or no ) or text input boxes (for example - someone wants a name on a T shirt or cup etc)

To do this is a basic requirement of any shopping cart , and for example in ZenCart it is available by default.

Can someone help me to find out how to this ? or even if it is possible ?

You can add some text input or files upload fields, required or not, in a product page. To do so :
Back Office >> Catalog
Edit a product

Patric, thanks for taking your time answering an idea why selection menus are needd for product customization is:

basically is about having attributes without needing stock management (attributes management is very real life oriented but not apply-able all the time) - so the shop will load faster and will be more logical:

- attributes if you need stock management (colors, sizes)
- customization if you need attributes without stock management in mind (new/second hand - given the fact you treat new/sh as same)
