Replace blockcategories "CATEGORIES" with active category

I'm stuck...

 

I have:

1. Added several links to Top horizontal menu (blocktopmenu). I call them root categories. They look like this:

Category 1 index.php?id_category=6&controller=category&id_root_category=6

Category 2 index.php?id_category=9&controller=category&id_root_category=9

 

I use id_root_category to keep track (stores in a cookie) of which was last clicked.

 

 

2. Modified blockcategories.php to build the tree using id_root_category as "home".

 

 

I want:

Replace "CATEGORIES" the name (Category 1, Category 2, ...) of the link selected in Top horizontal menu OR the name of the category (which is the same).
