[SOLVED] Blank page in Back office Version1.5.3.1 - Modules / Payment

After upgrading from 1.5.2.0 to 1.5.3.1 (and re-installing the PayPal module) the Admin Payment settings page under Modules only shows up blank (no HTML source) or gives me the error below. The Front End seems unaffected and payment with Paypal works as expected.

 

Fatal error: Call to a member function getAdminLink() on a non-object in -myfilepath-/classes/module/Module.php on line 1071

 

I found a french language report of a similar thing (http://bit.ly/W6AZ2v), but my french is not sufficient to follow the discussion.

 

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

EDIT: Found a solution to the blank page problem. Apparently there is a retro-compatibility issue that will be fixed in the next update. Adding the code snippet (lines 178,179,180) to my config/config.inc.php as shown in the GITHUB page solved the problem for me.

Thank you. That helped me a lot too. I upgraded from 1.4.9 to 1.5.3 and the same thing happened.

 

Now looking for any other anomalies.

Thanks a lot after 3 days ... it finaly shows the payment page

only after saving a change it goes back to blank? any suggestions?
