Howto enable logging?

Hi,

 

I'm running a 1.5.3.1 and I can't get the internal logging to work. In the BO / Advanced Parametes / Logs, it's empty. The table ps_log is also empty.

 

I got the impression that events should be logged into the database and then you would filter out (based on severity) in the backoffice.

 

When looking at the source code (classes/Logger.php), I can't find any code that actually writes to the database (i.e. INSERT bla, bla INTO ps_log). Am I missing something?

 

Do you other users have stuff in the ps_log table?

 

The directory <root>/log is also empty...
