add keyword to product name

Hi,

 

I tried to add keyword to products name in category, I hope this help me to reach better possition in search result, but it has opposite impact.

 

I check my competitors they have this keyword in the products name and they are on first page on google, so I hope this can help me...

 

I have approx 30 products in category and I try to add keyword to 12 products, my possition go down by 3 places.

well keywords is playing vital role in search engine ranking. Seo is time consuming work. you have to focus on other eo activity. After some time you will get good ranking in search engine.

You should take into consideration other factors too except from the keywords that a competitor might have in his site. If his site reputation is better than yours or has more links with the specific or similar keyword as anchor text, it will surely outrank you.

You lost your position because you have 404 error pages for url before and when you make new url google understands as new.

You need to connect to webmaster tools, there check for 404 errors. Then edit your .htaccess file and there make 301 redirects to new pages.
