Prestashop 1.5.3 pagination bug

Hi

 

I am a bit confused here with the pagination of Prestashop 1.5.3

I underline, that the problem could be present in some other version too, but i tried only three (1.5.3, 1.5.2 and 1.4.9.0) and 1.5.3 has this issue only.

And of course, could be some on-purpose thing introduced by the devs and i don't catch the reason. Anyway, here we go:

 

Why does Prestashop 1.5.3 loads a product (first one in category or search list) when you call a non existing pagination page?

For example:

- last page of my paginate is 3rd: index.php?id_category=3&controller=category&p=3

- if i manually add a higher number at the end, the result will be a product.

e.g. index.php?id_category=3&controller=category&p=4 shows me first product from page 1

 

And this is only in 1.5.3. Rest gives back zero results, which is logically true.

 

Note:

I am testing on a fresh and default Presta install, so i set the number of listed products to one, but if i had like 5 elements on a page, there might be the possiblity that the non existing page to call all theese. But the bug is the same in both cases!

 

Any idea why does this happens?
