Delete icon missing from the ajax cart from top header area

Sorry for all the posts, promise this is the last for today

 

I don't think I imagined it, but there used to be an X along side the name of the item in the ajax cart (top of page one) and you could remove an item from the cart -- now however, you have to click on checkout to go to the form to remove the items and then continue shopping etc.,

 

Have I done anything to remove this option?
