mikebt26
I have just tried using the 1 click upgrade to version 1.5.3. All files backed up fine and upgraded, once complete it asked me to refresh page and login again. From then on when I tried to get to my admin login the browser found the below error Server error The website encountered an error while retrieving https://www.tackleaustralia.com.au/admin363/index.php?controller=AdminLogin. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly. Here are some suggestions: Reload this webpage later.HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request. This is the 5th time I have tried to upgrade from version 1.4.9. every time encountering a problem that makes me have to go to my back up. If anyone can please assist me with this problem. Thanks, Mike
Trip
I have tested your url and it shows a correct login screen. Maybe you delete cookies and browser cache or better try to login with a different browser. Best regards, trip
bside2234
I agree. It's working fine for me. Try hitting F5 or Ctrl + F5.
devilsown
1 click upgrade works for very few people Its really only good if you need to upgrade 1 version at a time from what i hear.
mikebt26
Thanks for checking trip and bside2234 It is working fine now because I had to rollback to my back up before the upgrade. After the upgrade though it was showing those errors and also my website was down.

Thanks for your reply devilsown. I have tried every version from 1.4.9 up and have never managed to have a successful upgrade. My current version back office admin has a few problems so I have been very keen to get an upgrade of version.
bside2234
Yeah, back before 1.5, I don't think the 1 click update worked very well. I tried it multiple times and it never worked right. After a clean install of 1.5, the 1 click update started working tons better. Oh yeah, I agree, updating one version/revision at a time and checking each time to make sure everything is working right is the way to go rather than jumping from 1.4.x to 1.5.3.1. the hat lady
My site crashed updating from 1.5.3 to 1.5.4 using one click upgrade. I can not access back or front office. It says server error 500. It is a slow process to restore manually. Edited April 8, 2013 by the hat lady (see edit history)
