Weasel Posted June 21, 2009 Share Posted June 21, 2009 Disclaimer: New to PrestaShop.I don't understand why do I have the option to ad (multiple) addresses for manufacturers, but none for suppliers.I try to buy from the manufacturers if possible, but for many things this isn't possible and I buy from distributors or other wholesale. Sometimes I buy from liquidators.To me it would seem logical that I can ad addresses (sometimes multiple) for suppliers, this are after all the guys that I need to contact to get my stuff. Right?In that same line of thought, why are the address fields for manufacturers as silly as they are? First and last name but no company name? Home phone????No email, web, etc fields?No job title for the contact person?No payment info?PrestaShop is terrific, but this is a quite scary point. Weasel Posted July 5, 2009 Author Share Posted July 5, 2009 How do you use manufacturers and suppliers in other stores?I use 'Manufacturer' for the brand which is often not the same as the name of the manufacturer. The customers are able to look for items from a certain brand.In supplier I now put the last place where I bought a certain item from.I still think it is strange that I can't add any contact information to suppliers.
