paypal questions

I have set up my paypal like it told me to in RC3, after that someone sent me money NOT through Presta Shop and I didn't get a notification email about it, like I usually do. But I still get confirmation emails when I SEND payments with paypal.

 

Could someone please confirm that if you do change your IPN paypal settings that you WON'T get a notification email for received payments outside of Presta?

How could I set up my paypal account so that I will still receive email notifications on received payments, and have it work for payments through PrestaShop?

 

Lets say, someone made a purchase through Presta Shop and paid with paypal, will it then Show up in my "Orders" tab in the admin panel?

 

Also, is the sandbox mode just for testing? Or what is it for?

I can not confirm your questions about IPN settings in Paypal, but I can answer your last two questions.

If an order is placed, it will show up in your orders tab. Once paypal verifies the payment, the order status will change to confirmed.

Sandbox mode is used by developers. You must sign up for a special paypal account, which then lets you send and receive fake money to/from your shop. It does not, however, interface with the real paypal (meaning you cant send fake money for payment on ebay.)

Could someone please tell me how I can keep the IPN paypal settings, and still get email notifications for payments sent to me "outside" my shop?

Someone has to know this, I can't be the only one who uses paypal on here
