rschonhoff
I want to force users to login and create accounts before they shop. Is there a way to do this? I have a fixed set of clients. I already have all their account information. Is there a way to import this list of existing customers so they dont have to go thru the new account process? El Patron
we have module to support this:https://www.prestaheroes.com/en-us/modules/private-shop/private-shop-authorized-clients-only-shoppingethey will not of course help you import your customers...this would/should be a separate topic. rschonhoff
Thanks for your reply. Just so i am clear, the default prestashop wont control who can shop. In other words can I prevent guest checkout and only allow registered users

benjamin utterback
Hello rschonhoff, if you disable the "Guest/Instant Checkout" then the customer would have to register to be able to purchase products.
rschonhoff
Thanks for the responses. I think I need something like the 2 addons you referenced. What are prices US for these addons try this first...our module utilizes native PrestaShop catalog mode. so you can test your existing site to make sure your template is compatible (compliant)...note: we offer free template changes for non-compliant themes, i.e. say it display price even if in catalog mode. to turn on catalog mode: (1.5) back office-->preferences-->products set catalog mode to 'Yes'. Now you can view your shop as if our module was installed... Edited January 2, 2013 by elpatron (see edit history)
tomerg3
You may want to also check out http://www.prestashop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/439[spam-filter]module-private-shop-hide-your-shop-or-prices-from-non-registered-users-entire-shop-or-parts/ It offers both hiding of prices for non logged, or hiding the entire shop (for private sale type sites)
El Patron
later releases of Prestashop now allow one to hide prices by group. so, for visitors (non-logged) back office-->customers-->groups-->edit visitor group-->shop prices = no you will need to add front office content telling visitors they must log in to see prices/shop.
